Study, Scripture, Snack, Social, Support Hang 5 is Sonshine Community Ministries’ tutor/mentor program that aims to help children ages 5-12 with their homework as well as provide them with a positive atmosphere to participate in after school. Along with helping them with homework every week, we try to have special activities throughout the year as well as an end of the program field trip. Tutoring will run on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30pm (Nov-Apr). See our calendar for the dates and details. How can you serve with us? There will be a training session required for ALL tutors (new or returning) on Oct. 11th or Oct. 21st. Please see the calendar for more details. Participation in this program is an opportunity to create one-on-one relationships with children. It can be such a privilege to invest in the lives of children who need role models. Please look at your schedule and consider serving with us in this capacity. |
